ICEi Day 3: The ICEi is melting

The doors of ICEi have closed for yet another year, and the stands are being torn down around me as I write this. It was one hell of a show – the best ever for us – with lots of enthusiasm surrounding the online bingo space. Seems we say the same thing every year, but it's always true: every ICEi is better than the last.

Traditionally the final day of the show is pretty slow, but not this year. Our stand was hopping today thanks to a ton of meetings with prospects and clients. I can tell you that we're close to signing a few more important bingo licensing agreements, so watch this space for good news to come!

Lots of people had lots of questions about our upcoming software release, Parlay 5: Bingo without Borders. What's funny is that we were approached more than a few times by very inquisitive folks who'd conveniently "forgotten" their business cards AND their name badge. Were they competitors anxious to see what we have up our sleeve? Of course they were, but we're flattered they dropped by.

And God bless the development team from GameSys (who develop Jackpot Joy bingo). They came over wearing their name badges and boldly asked for a demo of the multinational features of Parlay 5. It was an admirable and honest try. But of course we said "no way!"

The buzz around the show was that the "next big thing" for bingo will be the integration of live streaming video with online bingo. In fact, we're already working on a version of this concept with the folks from the Big Box Bingo television show. Parlay has recently signed on to further integrate their Internet and television technology to make it a seamless experience.

Gotta say, I have mixed feelings about the end of ICEi. After such a build-up, it's a bit of a letdown when it's all over. But it's been a great show and we've done great business. My liver however is begging for a day off, so I'll be flying home to Canada tomorrow for a restful weekend. Monday will be back to business with quite a few leads and contacts to follow-up on.

Of course we'll be back next year. By then, who knows how big bingo will be?
