Our friend Phil Fraser wrote an intriguing article that appears in iGaming Business magazine this month. He speculates that online bingo has sped past the "next big thing" moniker, through its ugly duckling phase and is now "all grown up." While that's certainly true in the UK, it's not necessarily so in the rest of Europe and other parts of the world. There are big things ahead for online bingo when we start thinking globally.

The great thing about ICEi is it's the only time of year when virtually the entire online gaming industry gets together in the same place at the same time. It's the perfect place to connect faces to names and catch up with people you only get see at shows like this.

Has Parlay Entertainment been bought? Not yet. But if the acquisition does proceed, no changes in management, operations or head-office location are being considered. It will be business as usual here at Parlay. I mean, why change a good thing?
Parlay has teamed with Norsk Bingo AS to launch a new concept in bingo entertainment. Norsk is deploying 2,000 touch-screen tabletop kiosks in 30 bingo halls throughout Norway. The kiosks feature Parlay Bingo software offering Norwegians the ability to play electronic bingo while at their local bingo hall. Radio frequency cards let players activate their accounts and manage financial transactions. It is thought to be the first such implementation of online bingo software in a land-based bingo environment.
It's not enough that bingo has taken the Internet by storm; now it's set to take on TV. Traditional media and new technology have converged to create a potent gaming product that lets players physically interact with live television, bringing the excitement of the bingo hall directly into the home. And Parlay Entertainment is making it happen.
Parlay-powered BingoMania.co.uk has been named runner-up in the UK Bingo Site of the Year Awards. The award recognises and rewards excellence in UK online bingo, as voted by players at WhichBingo.co.uk.
"It’s a bit of a David and Goliath story," said Stuart Gordon, whose title is Founder and Chief Fun Officer for BingoMania. "We’re a relatively small but mighty community. So, it’s not first place, but that would have been too freaky.
Parlay is pleased to have been granted a licence by the UK Gambling Commission to develop, supply, install and adapt gambling software in the UK. The licence is through its subsidiary Parlay Malta Limited.
Parlay is one of only thirty companies worldwide to hold a remote licence in the gambling software category and the only bingo software developer to do so. The licence allows Parlay to deploy its award-winning software to clients headquartered in the UK or to remote companies who target the UK market.
Players love gaming variety and Parlay is happy to deliver. Another dozen games from Orbis have been integrated into the Parlay 4 platform.
